WEST LEBANON, NY – Tonight, in the valley of speed the JAM Performance CDRA Racing Series points championship presented by Elmo’s Speed Supply rolls into Lebanon Valley Speedway for Mr. Crate Track USA joining an action-packed race card featuring the Super DIRTcar Big Block Modified Series and DIRTcar Pro Stocks.

Lebanon Valley Speedway is hosting the annual Mr. Dirt Track Super DIRTcar Big Block Modified Series event that pays a staggering $15,500 to the winner. During the program also featured are the stars and cars of the CDRA Sportsman Modified Series racing for a $1,000 to win payday. It will be a full draw/redraw format for the Sportsman competitors.

For the CDRA Sportsman Modified Series it’s the second appearance at the West Lebanon, NY dirt racing facility. Last season the Fireworks & Freedom race ran during Halloween in August, with Tim Hartman Jr. picking up the win. The second CDRA event at the valley was scheduled to be a companion race for Mr. Dirt Track, but it was rained out making tonight the official return of Mr. Crate Track USA.

Heading into racing action on Thursday August 28th Glenville, NY racer Tim Hartman Jr. holds a 22-point lead over defending series champion Taylor Wason of Middlegrove, NY. Rounding out the top five in points are Amsterdam, NY racer Zach Buff, Caroga Lake, NY racer Tavien Blowers, and Round Lake, NY racer Nick Brudige who also leads all drivers for Newcomer Of The Year honors.

“Our season is winding down and it’s still anybody’s title to earn. However it shakes out I’m proud of these drivers. Timmy has proven himself arguably the most dominant wheelman in the Capital District. Taylor has defended his championship valiantly. Tavien is in the mix for a title for the second consecutive year. Zach remains consistent. And Nick is a refreshing surprise in the NOTY battle. Season two has lived up to the hype,” said competition director Rob Hazer.

UP NEXT FOR CDRA: After Mr. Crate Track USA the CDRA series heads back to the great race place, Albany-Saratoga Speedway on Friday September 19th for the Great Crate Classic points finale, which also is part of the DIRTcar Sportsman Fall Championship series.

CDRA is a nostalgic throwback to the CVRA days. A series designed specifically for Capital District racing. Season two schedule consists of a diverse schedule at storied dirt tracks like the great race place, the fastest quarter mile on dirt, and the valley of speed. Drivers who do travel the Capitaland will earn hardware and some green for their efforts.
